October Services

October 5 Chocolate Communion
Rev. Petr Samojský
Some words carry a meaning so strongly colored by certain usage that we no longer understand them, or we tend to avoid them. Holy Communion is one of such terms. Bring a bar of your favorite chocolate for shared enjoyment in our Communion!
Music by Patricia Goodson

October 12 We gather together to – erm – gather together!
Ant Howe
Some of us have been going to church all our lives. For others it was a conscious choice which came later. But why keep doing it? Does it really need to be a lifelong habit? After all, Unitarian values can be lived and practiced anywhere, so why do we need to come to church?

October 19 Being Starstuff
Erika Hewitt
We share a human need for meaning: glimmers of answers to the Big Questions that point to a larger purpose for our lives. This worship service celebrates the intersection of religion and astrophysics: awe and wonder of the cosmos, as well as the ways that our liberal religious tradition embraces science as a Source of wisdom and guidance. UA joint service in Capek Hall at 10:30am.

October 26 Catching Up With F. O. Lexa
Rev. Petr Samojský
Lets play with our imagination and have a good talk with one of the founding Czech Unitarian ministers. It is a unique way to look into our history and see what is relevant and still highly important from their message.
Music by Patricia Goodson
